Man overboard!

October 28th, 2010

On this dark October night I would love to be able to come up with a few lovely sea metaphors. However, after watching the preview for Blue Valentine I am left with brains, and heart, spinning.

Oh, small mountain towns. They are lovely, but their cinemas are tiny. Please, dear Lux, part your tired, velvety curtains for this movie.

“…part your tired, velvety curtains…” now there’s a quote that can be taken out of context.

All you had to do was ask ;-)

Saw it today. Just in time for Oscar madness. Have you seen it? What did you think?

    hi Sarah,

The Reel Time Committee had considered Blue Valentine for the Reel Time series. It did make some ppl’s shortlists but obviously didn’t make it to Reel Time programming at The Lux.

Watching the Godfather causes unnatural cravings for giant bowls of pasta. Amy Tan makes one want to run out for dim sum. Star Wars teases with its blue milk. Shouldn't every day be built around such paper snacks?
